Did you know that the stewardesses have their own bedrooms on board? There are mirrors, lamps, comfortable mattresses. And now I’m going to tell you how to find them.
On the back of the Dreamliner there is secret door (do not confuse them with the toilet door). Behind, you can find steep stairs that lead straight to several bedrooms.
Unfortunately, there are no screens with games and movies, nor any windows, so all in all the passengers have it better.
Apart of the bedrooms, I sneaked into the cockpit as well.
There were millions of buttons, even on the ceiling they were plentiful. I really don’t know how do they manage them all.
It crossed my mind that I would like to be a pilot. Very much.
In my perfect dream I can see a plane, a rudder and myself diving in the sky to the rythm of ‘I believe I can fly…’ or ‘I want to get away, I want to fly away, yeah, yeah, yeah…’ – and at every ‘yeah’ I would skyrocket even higher and higher. Can you see this? Oh.
Yet, the reality is different, full of enigmatic buttons and monitors with weird diagrams. I admire the pilots for controlling it all. By the way – I’m curious of what are they humming during the flight.
There are 2-3 pilots in every Dreamliner, 10 stewardesses and 252 passenger seats. That’s just for your knowledge. And here you can find more information about this plane: Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
You may ask how did I get to that Dreamliner at all?
So, it happened sometimes after landing that I stopped pilots and stewardesses and asked them to show me things in a plane. Not always do they have time for that, because they hurry up for home and even if they don’t, then the passengers have to leave anyway, so that the cleaning staff can prepare the machine for the following flight.
However, LOT likes me, so I scheduled a visitation.
I came there with Krysia, my photographer who helps me register the surroundings (the non-plane photos by Krysia can be found on KrystynaSarnacka.pl), Tomek – steward, Marta from LOT Polish Airlines and two spotters.

LOT Business Lounge
Now, a bonus and Business Lounge of LOT at the Chopin’s airport. I felt so much business-like. Business Lounge is dedicated for people who fly in LOT Business Class and who have the status of HON and SEN.
It looks sophisticatedly: comfortable coaches, wifi, lamps, armchairs, showers and above all, delicious food. It was really very good and the cook was so nice. Oh, how wonderful these desserts were…mmm…
A couple of photos. Do not watch them hungry.
It’s funny but my dreams completely amaze me. I used to dream about an old bus for travelling and I got a plane. Not for my own but “never say never” :)
